Ameliorative Role of Moringa Oleifera against Gamma Radiation and Mercury Induced Nephrotoxicity in Swiss Albino Mice

Herbal plants and products represent important source of natural antioxidant offer an alternative to synthetic protectors. Moringa oliefera, a herbal medicinal plant has been screen for their radioprotective activity. For the purpose study male Swiss albino mice were divided into seven groups. The exposed gamma radiation (2.5 Gy 5.0 Gy) also provided mercuric chloride (0.5 ppm) both separately combined. radioprotector was given experimental groups after irradiation mercury treatment. Animals autopsied at post treatment interval 1, 2, 4, 7, 14 28 days. After sacrificing animal’s histopathology kidney observed. Renal glomeruli tubules depicted degenerative changes more pronounced in combined treated demonstrated early fast onset recovery comparison non-Moringa Radioprotective efficacy MOE due presence various bioactive compound.
